Cricket Clicker

Subject

US Army WWII Technology

Description

Used on D-Day by US paratroopers. Used to make noise at night to see if someone was a friend or foe. The first click was to see if anyone could hear you. If someone responded with two clicks, they were a fellow paratrooper. Only used for the first day because they were afraid the Germans would figure them out.
