Description
Officially called the LCVP (landing craft, vehicle, personnel) the “higgins boat” was the ship used to ferry troops to shore from transport ships. While the model in the photo above is a standard model it could be changed to suit many purposes such as carrying supplies or even fitted with additional armor and weapons to assault enemy held beaches.
